Angela Evelyn Bassett, an American actor, is well-known for her roles in film and television in the latter half of the 1980s. The actress has won numerous honors, including two Golden Globe Awards, and 16 NAACP Image Awards. Known for her work in television and in film since the late 1980s she's won numerous awards like two Golden Globe Awards and sixteen NAACP Image Awards in addition to nominations for two Academy Awards and seven Primetime Emmy Awards. Bassett is a native of New York New York and raised by an aunt in Winston-Salem North Carolina. Her mother split with her father at around five. She and her younger sister moved to St. Petersburg Florida with their mother. In high school, Bassett watched John Steinbeck's drama Of Mice and Men starring James Earl Jones and decided she would like to be an actor. Yale University New Haven Connecticut was where she earned her bachelor's in African American and master's degrees (1983). Courtney B. Vance was also an actor at Yale. They were married in 1997. Qualification: B.A. Master of Arts (Afro-American study) in the year 1980. A Master of Fine Arts (Drama) from Yale School of Drama School. Angela Bassett has been cast as one of the main roles of Ramonda for the action adventure film, i.e. Black Panther: Wakanda forever (2022).
